I mounted my ELT and Strobe power supply behind the aft baggage bulkhead. What's the preferred route from just aft of the baggage bulkhead forward? I have (2)HV strobe wires, ELT to remote on panel, flap motor and tail light wires that I need to run while everything is still open. Any advise would be greatly appreicated.

Comment on Advice from an Expert

Building Tip

An easy way to evenly space the 6 rivet holes around the control pushrods is screw a 6 sided bold into the end and use a square to line a flat up perpendicular to the table of your drill press, and drill the hole, then just index it to the next flat. If you have your control tube set in a V block, you can also set a stop for the head of the bolt to rest against so all the holes are the same distance from the end.

Comment on Your Help is Appreciated

Well I have to be the slowest RV6 builder around.. but I'm laying up my fuselage. Looks like I'm hitting a common issue. Bulkheads 7/8 are too wide by about 1/4 of an inch as discussed here (http://www.vansairforce.org/articles/tips/tip_bulkhead_alignment.shtml) My question is why don't i just narrow them up a bit instead of moving the station locations? or is the bulge need to help prevent oil canning?

Thanks
Bill

Comment on Advice from an Expert

I've read you should keep shielded strobe wires separate from antenna coax and I've read you can run them through the same conduit without a problem...opinions?

Comment on What if I just have a general question

If the fuselage is in a box I would have 4 people total. If it is not in a box I think three should be able to handle it. This is only what I think because I have never unloaded a quickbuild kit. If the finish kit is with it, that box is balky, so the 4 people would be a help.

Comment on Your Help is Appreciated

Gary: Thanks for your comment. The "Help Appreciated" thread is more or less for this site as I know nothing. I will publish this and see what you get. I have started a general UN-CLASSIFIED THREAD FOR WHAT EVER YOU WANT.
Comment on Your Help is Appreciated

Wow, this is great! Maybe you should have a thread for un-classified categories. i.e. subjects that don't fit any of those already in existence and if enough interest in something particular a new thread could be started. As an example, I went to this “help appreciated” thread thinking it was a place to ask for or offer help. I’m expecting the delivery of my QB wings an fuselage this week by Tony Partain, and I think I have enough man power lined up but I’m not 100% sure, and I figure there are folks out there that would like to check out the QB kit as delivered by Tony…The last I heard I should expect it on or around Jan. 17, 08 By the way please feel free to publish my email address mgmason@sbcglobal.net

Comment on Your Help is Appreciated

Hi Gary, welcome to the forum. The comment you just made is the method you would use. Congratulations. If you have questions, technical, go to the article about expert help and make a comment, or question. Go ahead! Everything goes through the moderator just to keep things acceptable. I will not change a comment except to reduce profanity. Comment or question, doesn't matter. it will become a thread on the topic.
Comment on Your Help is Appreciated

How do we submit technical questions?

Comment on Advice from an Expert

Thanks Ed. Looking forward to see how this works.
